How's It Going to Be" is a song by the American rock band Third Eye Blind, featured on their 1997 self-titled album.

The B-side is a non-album track entitled "Horror Show", written by guitarist Kevin Cadogan and vocalist Stephan Jenkins. According to Jenkins, the song deals with the trauma of the ending of a relationship and how the transition from friends to acquaintances is a brutal one.

I remember back in the '90s screaming this song out at the top of my lungs with some friends and to this day it remains my favorite TEB song. I feel sorry for the younger generation who missed out on arguably the best decade of music. The whole alternative scene was blowing up then and every week on the radio, you heard a new great song whether it was TEB, Matchbox 20, Goo Goo Dolls or others. Now it's just garbage.

I had this album on rotation. the late 90's were amazing and it seems like it was a better time, but when you have the freedom of your early 20's, the past always seems like a better time.

Damn, I cannot believe this song is 18 years old already...I remember seeing them live in the late 90's...time flies. Great music always takes you back to a certain time in life...great memories with this song.

I loved my music in the 90s as a kid. But man, the appreciation as I've gotten older astounds me. <3

I’m only pretty sure that I can’t take anymoreBefore you take a swingI wonderWhat are we fighting forWhen I say out loudI want to get out of thisI wonderIs there anything I’m going to missI wonder How it’s going to beWhen you don’t know meHow’s it going to beWhen you’re sure I’m not thereHow’s it going to beWhen there is no one to talk to, between you and meCause I don’t careHow’s it going to beHow’s it going to beWhere we used to laughThere’s a shouting matchSharp as a thumbnail scratchA silence I can’t ignoreLikeThe hammocks by the doorway we spent time inSwings empty, don’t see lightning like last fall when it was alwaysAbout to hitMeI wonder how’s it going to be when it goes downHows it going to beWhen your not aroundHows it going to beWhen you found out there was nothingBetween you and meCause I don’t careHow’s it going to be.Hows it going to beWhen you don’t know me any moreAnd how’s it going to beWant to get myself back in againThe soft dive of oblivionWanna taste the salt of your skinThe soft dive of oblivionOblivionHow’s it going to beWhen you don’t know me any moreHow’s it going to be
