Jeff Beck was a fucking BAD ASS. Page got nothing on him. Now you know where Jimi got his chops.

@alejandrosuckmy Of course not! It's also part of his main act! ;-)

Jim, thanks for posting these old videos, seeing them 45 years late is better than never. Even if the recording quality is poor in some of them, the great talent of all the band members shows through and provides some of the live experience that produced recordings lack.

I would love to have a gig as the marcas player in a rock & roll band!

you can't play maracas in a more awesome way ;)

It's a measure of how assured this band were that Dreja- a fine rhythm guitarist, is content to play maraccas on this. Great performance.

Hah, people aren't joking when they say Jeff is one of the first of the great guitar showmen. I'm glad the quality of this video doesn't completely lose the insaneness of the music. There was more of an....unpredictability of how music would tend to go back then I would say. It was raw, wild and, well, pshycadealic!!!! Brilliant stuff. Brilliant.

@endurocatfish It's not stealing anything. This is a cover version. The Yardbirds did a thousand covers.

With many inaccurate comments, tets put it straight.Original guitarist Tony Topham, left to concentrate on his studies,Eric Clapton joined when they went pro,Eric left next as there were problems in the band ,Jimmy was asked to join but recomended his friend Jeff Beck,so Beck joined,Paul Samwell Smith, the bass player was next to leave,Jimmy Page stepped in on bass to help them out, approx 6 months later Beck left,he wasnt replaced,Jimmy was already on lead guitar, the band carried on as a 4 piece.

Forgot to add-I fucking hate how they roll the credits before this magnificent performance is done.
