I think Moon "mugged" him. Just before it happens Pete turns in Keith's direction and cracks up as he's turning back to the microphone. Moonie did things like that whenever he thought someone was watching or within earshot. It was good fun but lines got blown because of it sometimes.

That look Pete gives at 3:10-3:20 when he forgets the lyrics in scary. He's pissed.

This song would of been better on Face Dances, when Pete was drinking 10 bottles a day.

If that was the speech, what does he call the spiel he always does before A Quick One? A monologue?

@FredismFredism I think at their peak they were they were the best. The music was great, but pete's writing is superb. Also the Alembic bass would not exist today if it wasn't for John Entwistle. He was the best ever

I think this is just a great song written to think about his own experience drinking along with Keith and John drinking bottles Martell & Remy Martin from the 60's and Pete eventually just got sick of it for a few years later then dried out again for good. Shame John couldn't kick the powder a few years back and we might still have 3/4 of the best band ever.. Seen them live and they are the best ever you will see

You know what's probably the most startling thing about listening to this live performance to me is? It's that John Entwistle was already getting that mixture of bass and treble - I call it his, "diesel" sound, from his bass. You can especially hear it during the quieter moments. The sound just resonates across the world whenever he hits a note. What a fabulous and innovative player. Thank you John, Kieth, Pete and Roger for all that you've given to us!

Moonie........this really does show how good he was, he's just playing the song, really easily, you can tell he always knows the song inside out & exactly what words he is playing over. You see him miming the words & even acting them out on some shows, if he is really out of it.......even then he's out of it but STILL knows what is going on, dropping mad shit & then coming in on either the 1,2,3 or 4....love him when when he plays all chilled & relaxed like this, he hardly breaks a sweat....

@Flerg3 For a night anyway, at least it was long enough to write the song!
