I think Chas himself being one of the greatest bass players of all time , was good for Jimi , when things got a bit messy Chas would clean things up knowing Jimi had the ability to make the song great he just needed pointing it out to him

"For the lead, Kramer later fed the guitar signal through a makeshift Leslie speaker, which was normally used for electric organs", with the rotating horn speakers on top and a rotating baffle on the huge woofer below. Not exactly ideal for touring though.

I STUMBLED ONTO THESE "Hendrix: Behind the Scenes" videos, and have watched several of them on the night that I am writing this "comment". Even though the end of this short-film states that its "copyright" is from "2012" -, the original film-clips that compose these "Behind the Scenes" are apparently considerably older than that vintage. As a matter of interest -, Chas Chandler died in July of 1996; Noel Redding died in May of 2003; Buddy Miles died in Feb. of 2008; and Mitch Mitchell died in Nov. of 2008. (As of my writing this in Nov. of `14 -, Billy Cox and Eddie Kramer are still quite alive.)~ When watching these short-films -, it is important to keep-in-mind that "multi-track recording" was in its infancy circa the late-1960s. Even though the films show Eddie Kramer mixing the play-back of the "master-tapes" while using a LARGE mixing-board -, in-fact the most capable, state-of-the-art multi-track recorders as-of late-1967 had only EIGHT TRACKS ! (THAT is why many of the tracks we hear on these short-films are doubled-up -, i.e., the "vocal track" and the "rhythm-guitar track" COMBINED on a single track.) None-the-less, I myself find these films to be FASCINATING (... which is most-probably the sentiment of most Hendrix fans).
