How interesting is that The Herd got this eccentuated bass sound what is later became Deep Purple's distinct style. By the way the singer is Peter Framptom 16 years old, he's voice just amazes me.

No offense to any fans,but Peter certainly traded way up by joining Humble Pie. I've just watched/listened to 'Paradise Lost' and then this one and couldn't hear any of the band, other than the drummer, as the production buried everything behind the 'aaaaahhs' and the studio musicians. I wonder what they sounded like when they plugged in. (And, no, that 'thumbs down' vote did not come from me!) I'm going to look through a few more of these because I really love hearing Frampton's guitar...
