I don't know who best to reply to as there are so many relevant comments, so I'll just say... this is the best vid as graphics go, but I feel - as good as it is - the video maker didn't quite get it, it would be even better if the pics/scenes followed the lyrical meanings. Still a very enjoyable vid, and a great song - this song, portraying the unfortunate events of Orpheus losing faith, giving in to doubt, suffering deep loss, speaks to us all in our hearts; it's a fundamental part of us all.

The best record of the swinging sixties,i kissed my girlfriend for the first time whilst listening to this on a school trip to London.She had asked me to sit on the back seat of the coach to help her paint some clear nail varnish on her tights that had got laddered (that old trick).I was hooked,after feeling those legs and she is sat with me now on the sofa,alas not with a floral mini dress on,but trackie bottoms...! This and the following year are the years of the 'breakout" singles ~ a mini masterpiece in 3 minutes 17 seconds, Briliant fusion of melody, lyrics (proto Sinfield), arrangement and evocative atmosphere. Love the double tracking to create the 'choir', and the brass.
