I saw you standing at the airport

With your chihuahua in your hand

Crying on the moving sidewalk

On your way to Disneyland

And the flowers she sent and the flowers she said she sent

Are all equally dead

You don't care anymore, she said

And the books she read and the books that she said she read

Are all spread on the floor

You don't care about them anymore

I saw you closing your antique shop

With a boa 'round your throat

And you tremble like an ostrich

In your ostrich feather coat

And the flowers she sent and the flowers she said she sent

Are all equally dead

You don't care anymore, she said

And the books she read and the books that she said she read

Are all spread on the floor

You don't care about them anymore

Just, quick: the lyrics are "You don't get out of bed anymore" not "You don't care about them anymore"

Yes, I was introduced to Magnetic Fields by Pete & Pete, too. :')

Good catch: Stephin actually has said that "The Things We Did and Didn't Do" was a sequel to this song. :)

I first heard this song in the Pete & Pete episode "The Nightcrawlers".

That guy doesn't really know how to sing either. I'm saying this is a good thing.

He's like Animal Collective before they were all urban and stuff.

The song is a fragment of something you should buy. Seriously.

Pretty sure those lyrics are wrong. "You don't get out of bed anymore."

it remembers me of : "all the things i knew i didn't know and didn't want to know" (from the album 69 love songs) stephin... he sees so many fragile degrees of feelings and he is able to play with them, to "make it rithme"... He taught me English and made me love this language much better than my teachers.
