This album should've been huge. Let's face it, in 1988 the media was force feeding us crap like Bros and Stock Aitken & Waterman. They can shove it.

The lyrics are cool, that is one thing. They at least put all people on the same level, but as with most endeavors, the author seems to assume that what people do and think are important, as if we actually mattered when ultimately, we do not. Well, we can see (or hear) why this particular tune never charted. It is utterly retarded. Still, one must admire Roger's audacity. It is another example of how technology only helps music so much. Sampling is such a cheat. Yes, I have heard it used in a few creative ways, but it gets old very quickly, and it seems to be an excuse for not having any good musical ideas of your own. Yes, it was sort of in at the time, but it was already on its way out for most people by this time 1988. If you cannot write a great tune with a guitar or a piano and a voice with some lyrics, no amount of gear is going to help you. Pop songs, like most songs, have a few basic elements: melody, lyrics, chords and song structure. All of that can be worked out without any samplers or amplification. Remember the"unplugged" fad that to some extent still continues? The reason it works is that we get to hear the tunes the way they were when they were conceived, in the purest, most paired down form. Can you imagine Rush writing "Tom Sawyer" on acoustic guitars? Yet that is exactly what they did. Yes, I am trolling. Haven't had my coffee yet. Sorry.

The thing I always liked about Roger is that he always had fun with his songs with Queen and solo. Sampling was very big during this period. You can hear various Brian guitar samples and Freddie's voice, and of course Fat Bottomed Girls.

@MyOnlyFarph Yes it is. And on 4:02 you hear some Bicycle Race. And through out the song a lot of Freddie samples and also some of Brian's guitar.

The only problem I had with this track was the sampling didn't fit in, that said I don't think Taylor was bothered, he was evidently treating this as a hobby. I recall the album being quite good if you took for what it was!
