What is it about Catholicism that breeds so many pagans? Probably because Christianity is derivative of paganism.

I am a Pagan, daughter of a Roman Catholic. My mother and I may not always agree on each others' views, but we at least find peace on our common ground. Hope everyone had a wonderful Solstice, and are having a Merry Christmas Eve! (:

This is such a beautiful message, much beyond the religious stuff

Hello all. I hope everyone had a wonderful Yule. :-) Since I'm sure a lot of us have Christian relatives, I wanted to share this song about what happens when two groups get together on Christmas Eve. It's about family love, tolerance, respecting differences, and finding similarities. It's also a cute song. :-) This is "The Christians and the Pagans" by Dar Williams.#HolidayMusic #PaganMusic #DarWilliams

I share this every year. I am a Catholic married to an Odinist. Our children are beautiful... if you ever wonder what a Christian and a pagan may create, come on over! Meet the kids... oldest adores Mary, youngest follows Thor. We celebrate love, family, tradition, friends. We light candles. We celebrate. I've never burned a pumkin pie yet, and my kids say I make the best, and we welcome you.

I have LOVED this song for 10 years? when I forst heard it and I was entrenched in my right wing PC Christianity--- now I am so much more open-I love God and I love JC- and yet-- i do not love the judgement of american evangelical christian churches--

For the winter season, may it be gentle and kind, and that what we need, is of a similar quality.Blessings to one and all this Season!

Love this song... and even more now that I'm a grandmother...and a lesbian... and a Christian who also respects the Old Religion, as many intelligent Christians have done (C.S. Lewis and Charles Williams among them - read C.S. Lewis's novel That Hideous Strength for a well-reasoned, much better than I could put it discussion of how Christianity and Paganism ought to co-exist).

This is how relationships between religions should work. Amber and Jane and Amber's Uncle's family pulled together for Christmas/Yule and have a good time regardless of their beliefs

I still remain optimistic and hopeful that one day..... my family will accept me, as a Pagan and love me. Just as I am. <3

The real magic is knowing that they conjured Jesus out of thin air about 400 years ago. I mean it couldn't have been before that since the letter J didn't exist prior to that. But hey, you can always go back to the original king James bible where they used Iesous in place of Jesus. Granted it means ' Hail Zeus ' in Greek, but your Christians who cares about facts?
