@wang0fett: No, he did not sink his own ship, he sank the enemy. But when he returned to his own ship, he was denied back on. He then said that the reason for not sinking his own ship is the love for the captain's daughter (presumably also on board) and his fellow sailors, after which he drowns.Come to think of it, it's a nice metaphor for the bankers of the world today.
