Yes, he recorded this several more times in his career - in a much lower key! I actually saw him sing this live with The Masters V. At the end, James Blackwood said, "I can't even think that low!"

I've always loved this song. I have a recording that he did with The Stamps and, believe it or not, it's pitched a little lower than this recording. However, being a huge JD Sumner fan, I appreciate this song in any pitch. I would love to hear the recording with The Masters V. Thanks for the post.
