Hows the binding on your Gretsch? I almost bought a 67 with binding rot for a good price recently, thinking I was going to have the binding replaced. Then I found out how much it was going to cost. So I bought a sweet vintage SG instead. It arrives tomorrow. I will still own a Gretsch one day.

What are your amp settings? Which channel are you plugged into?

I have an original '63 Tennessean also. I have a clear pickguard on mine right now, but the Gretsch pickguard in my case. Mine was gigged with for 4 years, but still near mint. Love it!

Did the original record have more reverb? And also what settings do use in your amp to sound like a Beatle

I did a double-take earlier: that 49-year-old guitar looks mint (!)

Hi Jay, thanks. Yes, these are original 1963 HiloTrons on a 1963 Tennessean :).

Nice work, Stuart. Great tone too. So those are original Hilos (e.g. not repros) on your Tennessean? Regards, Jay

Thank you :). I think flats are part of the key for this song. :)
