camera work is nicely done and the tone is interesting, just the video that kinda.... yeah...Song is okay. Video starts amazingly but then kinda falls apart. The whole "good and evil" representation is typical. Women in white dress good and skull suit scrub evil. Boring.Would have been interesting if the woman on the floor in the beginning were murdered and there's a killer who is briefly shown with the dog representing neutral good in the fact that it is aware of the situation but unable to do anything, possibly seen at the end bothering a bystander? The killer of course would not really be fully seen but the video would cut from portions of him being seen walking away (presumably to erase all evidence on his person) and the dog seeking help. There would be snippets of the incident that took place at appropriate times throughout the video.And that is how it should be done.

I read somewhere a few months ago, Dulli was talking about the album. He said this was one of his favorite songs he'd ever made. Was two separate parts that he wrote independently and didn't realize they would work together as a song until the album was close to being finished. He also mentioned that he usually doesn't have anything to do with picking which songs are made into "singles" or whatever. He had found that usually his favorites are not l usually the favorites of others. I'm really happy to see this song was made into such an amazing video. It somehow reminds me of their video for Honkey's Ladder from Black Love. It's dark and beautiful in a way that really reflects the song, but still with the contrast of something that feels bittersweet, almost even manic. I saw someone else post this lyric, it's also one of my favorites ever..."a throne in a room with a view but you're lost in the woods."As far as I'm concerned, Greg Dulli is one of the best musicians and poets who ever lived.
