Originally written for Roy Orbison, who composed the melody. After Orbison died the song was recorded by Burnett but not released until "20/20." In the meantime it was rerwritten slightly and retitled "Til the Heart Caves In" for kd lang's "Drag" album. This would likely have been Orbison's next single had he not died before it was finished.

Roy's rendition would no doubt have been awesome. We'll have to get by with this one and the kd lang variation, which is probably closer to what Roy's would have sounded like anyway - strangely enough.13 years ago
