I have heard that Mother Dear was the original 6th single to be released but it was shelved for "Nothing But Heartaches" which broke their string of number 1 hits.

Raw talent. All three. Note that Diana should have a hand-held mic--but Mary and Flo pick up fine on the overhead.

The song began as "It's All Your Fault." That didn't get released. It was then rewritten and included in the "More Hits" album intended as the followup to "Nothing But Heartaches" and performed live on both the Dean Martin and Red Skelton shows. Meanwhile, "I Hear A Symphony" had been conceived and that was the end of "Mother Dear." Mr. Gordy still felt the song had potential so it was arranged anew and recorded anew but shelved.
