Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter Bruce Connole first made his mark on the music industry in the early 80's with the critically acclaimed New Wave band The Jetzons. After many squandered opportunities due to a serious drug habit, he turned to Country, where he was able to tell his darkest stories with inimitable conviction. With notable bandmates like keyboardist Brad Buxer (Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder), the Suicide Kings signed a deal with John Prine's label (Blue Plate) and went to Nashville to record. Their 12-track debut, now being re-released by Fervor Records, features slide guitars, roadhouse pickin', tight harmonies and tales of hookers n' booze as it harkens back to the 1960's Outlaw Country movement, with a disturbing Tarantino tinge.
