Canzone della seraIl rock-folk che si fa quasi gotico e ricco di richiami alla tradizione. Ma in certi vocalizzi risiede un sicuro fascino evocativo. Gruppo nato da una costola dei Fairport Convention.Steeleye Span - Royal Forester (1972)

I think he was referring to annoying ad's that are imposed on the beginning of each video that won't go away for the first 5 seconds.. you can strim them using an app called 'StopScript' on Firefox, which also enhances security :-)

So here you are putting yourself up and some sort of period fold music affectionado? But you don't understand the culture of it. History has epochs and the one we live in now is not the one this song is placed in nor are we living in the culture it reflects. Can't you grasp that? As a long time student of history, it always amazes me when I find people like you who wish to judge the past by modern standards. Context, context....

50 Shades of Gray is a novel that was long on the best sellers list this year. My point is that there is rape and there is rape and there is rape. Only a young age or a huge denial complex can account for your ignorance of this well documented fact.

I wasn't offended by it, but I am not particularly gratified to be recognized for simply writing so someone can actually understand it. It would be great if you could also think critically.

No man (or reasonable woman) would make the claim that rape is of one sort and is always part of a violent crime. The accusation of rape has been made many times for revenge or advantage of other sorts well documented. I am a retired doctor with a solid marriage & have plenty of cases for forming opinions aside from personal observation of the same. Only limited experience, possibly young age and feminist bias/brainwashing could account for your initial statements.

That the folk song here relates to a different culture and time that modern PC absolutes don't apply to. Plus, you were not showing evidence that you had really listened to the lyrics. But never mind, your mind may have just wandered.

What intellectual point do you suppose you made? I gave no personal attack to you. You made unfounded guesses about my masculinity and sexual experience. I responded to these by pointing out they were wild guesses and I might do the same, guess wildly and unfoundedly, about you. Nor is pointing out I find your comments against me condescending an attack.

My comment on your writing was meant as a compliment. It is tiresome to constantly encounter text speak and butchered grammar in internet exchanges.

Your resort to personal attack indicates I've made the intellectual point I intended.

Sometimes guesses are required to expose people. I am a retired doctor and have far more than personal experiences to rely upon for my views. You seem to require absolute definitions. If you have a problem with someone who refuses to "go ghetto" on youtube, that is your problem. I write and have rather hoped to be an example in online posting using better English, etc. I've had some folks really "flame" me just for that alone. It is about their insecurities, not mine.

If you like music of this genre and time period I highly recommend,"Art of the Bawdy Song".
