Politics aside, the brightest jewel in a album where (for me) Steeleye went just too far with the rock arrangements spoiling the raw simplicity of folk melodies. Like to hear this on the highland pipes if it's compatible? Anyone out there know?

A sound and secure victory to the "Yes" campaign! Forward to the break up of the UK! If Scots can rid themselves the abomination that the UK has become, then I say good luck to them.Scottish independence will create a constitutional crisis for the rest of the UK which progressive forces in England and Wales should use to loosen the hold of the neo-liberal consensus of the major UK political parties.Big business is absolutely desperate for a "No" vote and is using fear as a weapon against a change whose time has come. I really, really hope that Scotland gives them the bloody nose they so richly deserve. There is talk that the General Election may be postponed, with the present Tory government having even less legitimacy than when it failed to win in 2010. An alternative suggested is for it to go ahead as planned but not allow Scottish MPs to take their seats, leaving Scotland unrepresented until Independence Day. This could cause massive ructions both sides of the border.GO SCOTLAND GO!!!

as we are bombarded with endless lies and threats about independence in this final week before the referendum I happened to come across this recording...It's strangely appropriate that it should be performed (superbly) by an (excellent) English folk-rock band.If Scots are tae feart the noo tae dream on Scottish story, then as Rabbie says, say fareweel tae e'en the Scottish name.
