Before Status Quo -- or shortly The Quo -- became famous for their boogie influenced hard rock, the group started in the late 60s as a psychedelic flavoured pop band. The absence of success initiated the band to change their musical direction. The song "Spinning Wheel Blues" is taken from their first hard rock-styled album "Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon" (1970). Only a few years later the straight boogie rock became their signature sound throughout the 70s and a template for many following recordings.

Les Status Quo devenu connus grâce à leur boogie d'influence hard rock est un groupe qui commença son aventure à la fin des années 60. A leur début l'absence de succès les poussa à changer de style musical. La chanson "Spinning wheel blues" fut enregistrée pour leur premier album "Ma Kelly's greasy spoon" dont l'influence principale est le hard rock.
