The Great Society performs a great, psychedelic song 'Sally Go Round The Roses'. It's really brilliant!

I know how some of you young ones feel. I had just turned 12 at the end of 1969 so I didn't really know much about the great rock music of the early 60's which I love cause the am radio stations at that time only played pop soft stuff & 70's pop soft rock stuff was being played a lot. Which isn't bad At home I grew up listening to country music and 40's and 50's soft pop music my moms favorites and classical music and big band sounds, crooners, Andy Williams and such, my dads favorites which I like, but it wasn't till I was able to earn my own money and buy my own records that I was able to really appreciate the great rock'in roll and folk music of the 50's 60's and 70's. Thanks for posting this.

The pseudo-mystical organ noodling is annoying, though.

I am a huge fan of Grace Slick. I just love her, she's absolutely fantastic. But I much prefer the original version of this song by The Jaynettes.

Now we head under the covers and find another song from The Great Society, the precursor in one sense of the Jefferson Airplane. Grace and Darby Slick were members of The Great Society and they make their second appearance on the supplemental supplemental survey with their version of "Sally Go Round the Roses". giving it a bit of a psychedelic twist. At # 3213 on the supplemental supplemental chart.

great song choice by Grace - remember it originally as an Abner Spector type of production recorded the Jaynettes

I was singing this in the car tonight driving home from work and just had to listen to the proper version as soon as I got in. Wonderful, my favourite female singer and an excellent band.

Maybe her best. If you came of age in the late 60's or early 70's you may like this, especially if you were one of those people walking around with an illegal smile.

Grace Slick puede cantar genial, como mi ex, pero si está alienada, como mi ex, será un 0 patatero como mi ex. Genial música para cuando la revolución haya terminado. xDD

The individual who turned me on to this album, initially, was also a great fan of the Pentagle's lead singer, Jacqui McShee. I'm not sure how similar their singing styles are, but this music definitely captures an era. I'm a 30 year-old listening to this in 2014...I'm only fortunate enough to have had people in my life who exposed me to music like this...
