Correction: This was recorded June 14:th 1951 for Holiday Records. Jackie Brenston did the original a few months earlier,but some people say this version is the first Rock & Roll record. Anyway,this must be one of Bill Haley's earliest rhythm and blues influenced recordings.

The car in the video was equipped with Rocket V-8,Hydra Matic Super Glide,Power Windows,Power Steering,Power Seat,De-Luxe Radio,Autronic Eye,Traffic Light Viewer,Rear Fender Panels and lots of other options.

Wow, that car is better equipped than most 98's! Sure beats the hell out of my '51 Buick. No power steering for me, hehe. She does have, however, what many consider to be the best in dash AM radio ever built.

Bill Haley certainly was the first rock n roller in my book though this record, better than the Ike Turner/Brenston version to me, was too close to hillbilly to be his first rock n roll tune. Danced to this many a time in the clubs over the years! Brilliant tune.
