None too ashamed to say I have Bipolar 1. Getting out of a hospital, even after the short stays I've had a few times, feels a little like being out of jail. This song really speaks to me when I'm revved up.

Thompson's still around, my friend. Just saw him last summer, and he's lost NOTHING. Highly recommend going to see him if you get the chance. He's brilliant.

It seems Richard Thompson is another great artist who never got his proper due. Look him up on wiki. Cal and History always seemed to be missing their appointments. He first got some notice as a teenage folkie in the late sixties. I remember him in 1989 with this little ditty. That was his one (at a still glamorous age thirty-nine) stab at MTV fame. I, personally think it was good work.

It's strange that this silly little video got me into RT in the early 1990's but I remember channel flipping and seeing this on VH-1 and wondering who the heck is this guy? The album "Rumor & Sigh" went on to be my favorite album for years. The solo acoustic version of this song is much more powerful however.

@edmund184 Thompson & Byrne played together in the early 90's.There's one or two clips flying around. Two amazing performers, both of whom I've had the privilege to have met.

I was just looking for videos to send to a friend who's never heard RT. Had no idea this existed. RT is every bit as much of a god as Clapton, just not so mainstream. And I don't care. It means I don't have to fight so hard for front row. (Sorry, RT, I suppose the crazy good money would be good, but you have the undying love of many, regardless.)
