I think they sampled this for the Megamania commercial in 1982!

Will simply say that. while playing in "cover bands", I always looked forward to and enjoyed the hell out of playing this tune. Great fun.

I think this one was also one that might have been written by Richard Marx. He was writing for all sorts people then including Saturday Night Live, Disnney, N-Sync, BSB and a bunch of othe bands ans soundtracks.

The main riff sound a little like Little Guitars by Van Halen. I was just listening to that song and noticed that the chord are very similar. I wonder which one was written first. Both released in the early 80s, I think

FRIDAY NIGHT SESSIONS

*The Tubes**Happy Birthday, Roger Steen*It's very close, but this one is my favorite by The Tubes, and one of my tops from the 80's, mostly because of the great flashbacks of playing it in on the bands I was in. I miss those guys (and girls!)That's it for me today, but I'll be back on yet another day for yet another *On this day...* until then, I'll talk to ya' later! (see what I did there?:)#TheTubes #Big80s #RRHK #OnThisDay #SaveItForAnotherGuy

looks like lots of bands this one included went from a david bowie phase to 80's as we know it. I'll never forget being 6 years old in 1983 and watching "Modern Problems" on HBO while my parents were asleep and the song in it by The Tubes

Caught these guys, all originals sometime in the mid-80s. Andrew's Amphitheater at the University of Hawaii. A little grass orchestra pit and bleachers up a hillside in a semi-circle. I was standing up against the stage, had my beer sitting on top of one of the monitors. Waybill comes around checking the sound system, so I respectfully remove my beer. Then a guy that's a couple people over yells at the top of his lungs, EEEEEEIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! ... and it made Waybill back up. Then he speaks into the mic - "Is your sh't stuck or something?" AWESOME professional rock-n-roll band.

wow how did I miss this band what a great 80's sound! amazing vocal hook! It's strange how music has lost this type of sound and quality (Now I understand when older people use to always say there music was better)
