Geordie is a commonly used nickname for people hailing from the Tyneside area in North East England (Stingo originally came from Newcastle Upon Tyne). It's also the name of the local dialect, which old Gordo was obviously quick to dismiss (along with his Geordie nose, but that's a different story). Richard is referencing this in the 2nd verse.

@chuck41261 It's about Sting. There's a few references to his horrible reggae songs, his use of a private plane while trying to preach environmentalism, and his big head. Richard Thompson doesn't seem like a fan tbh.
