Composer Jimmy Webb wrote "MacArthur Park" about his breakup with Susan Ronstadt, a cousin of singer Linda Ronstadt. MacArthur Park was where the two occasionally met for lunch and spent their most enjoyable times together.

The song was recorded by the actor Richard Harris in 1967. When it was released in 1968 it reached #2 in the US and #4 in the UK singles charts.

Oh come on killer4 defuse, you sound like a guy that reads the bible and believes what it says. To me it's the melodic line.

You bunch of stupid morons, if you listen to the lyrics and can count more than the fingers your hand, it is an incredible love song of someone who tried and failed at "the one" in his life. Fire up your iphone and cecede a little further from reality. Typical kardashian brain dead idiots.
