It's pretty simple. They ascend from the depths of poverty to the highest living cost between a few countries. All of the different levels of income depicted in the video show a different kind of depravity or neglect. I don't really need to describe it, it's pretty gruesome. The point that they are trying to get across is that no matter how much money that you make, humanity plays a part and you can choose to be a good or bad person (bad people depicted in the video).
