This is a great song that features some polyrhythmic patterns and contrasting feels and sections. The opening groove has a kick pattern (3 against 4 polyrhythm) with some really great placed snare stabs that really make that part flow into a really fun groove. There is some big open beats through the second part of this song which I could not help myself really laying into my cymbals.....i like doing that... a lot!!! haha

I also didn't hit everything note for note but tried to stick relatively close to the original part.. After playing Meshuggah's 'The Demon's Name is Surveillance' the day before this, I HAD to add some sextuplets on the feet in this piece as well.... I also like playing sextuplets....

I didn't use triggers, sound replace or alter my original drums in any way other than doing my best to mix and pull a good sound. Hope you all enjoy as much as I have! Feel free to contact me on facebook with any questions (link below).

Hey Troy, just a quick tempo question: I checked out your Ragnarok transcription on your website and it has the BPM listed as 105. I learn songs by dropping them into Logic, using beat detection or playing with the metronome to sync up the click and go from there but this one is not syncing up to 105. I was just wondering if you use a click during your songs too, what this one syncs up to? I've been messing around with Ragnarok for ages but can't get the Logic tempo right!
