This song was one of the most physically challenging covers I have done to date. Although the main double kick pattern isn't all that technical, playing the 16th note triplets at that speed for so long proved to be very enduring for me. I spent a lot of time working on my stamina and it has improved myself as a double kick player immensely. I could only play this song by playing the beat at slower tempos first and building up to the actual speed of the song. Just as my 'Do Not Look Down' cover, I set up another set of hats under the ride to solely play open in the various sections so I could play the beat more comfortably in an open hand position. I'm sure this is how Tomas Haake would also play it.

I didn't use triggers, sound replace or alter my original drums in any way other than doing my best to mix and pull a good sound. Hope you all enjoy as much as I have! Feel free to contact me on facebook with any questions.

Troy do you do anything specific (exercises) to keep your legs in shape for kick drums? I play in both styles, halfway with my shin, and halfway with my thighs and I want to stay in shape because I have trouble sometimes.

More views on the cover vid than the actual song lol. Nice work though this song is taxing enough on guitar as it is. I couldn't imagine running a marathon for one song so props.

Haha so symbolic with the camera peering out from below the ride, it's demonic red eye blinking, watching our every move…

Why does the transition sound so awkward at 3:09 it sounds even more that way on the CD. Than this video. I mean it's awkward in a cool polyrhythmic way but I'm not sure what they are doing. It sounds like the drums and rhythm guitar don't change rhythmically but it's the lead part on top that makes it sound strange. It sounds like the lead guitar is doing 32nd notes that clash with the sixtuplet pattern in the drums and rhythm guitar.
