Loved this band & had all their albums & recently bought their double c.d without "WARP"! on it & played to a friend on youtube all New Musiks stuff & he went out & bought their album & mine together.Played it in a group of people & they loved it & one said this is proper music.Now I'm hooked again & can't stop playing their stuff.Tony Mansfield your a genius i wish i had an ounce of your talent mate.Legends that were so overlooked & underated.Make a comeback i will go follow you.

yeah i'm the same- also had a record press which didn't make me a cent... but i did it for the love of making music. that is the same reason i love both new musik and icube tracks. Yes, people will always try to make a buck where a buck can be made, and people will always try to get free shit when they can get it for free... the music industry is NOT geared for many artists to make dough, that's a given, but the feeling of making music will never die. that's why i'm saying let's not gripe.

Not quite sure how I am in the wrong place to gripe about plagiarism or royalties being I have had record companies press my own music then never give me a dime from the sales (R&S and Warp) as well as had earlier self released works directly bootlegged by third parties...It seems in the end, there is always someone that wants to steal someone elses shit..the nature of war in our world for Aeons...nothing's changed since the dawn of man, I guess....cheers

fair enough. it is cheeky when artists tweak a track and then call it their own. but gotta say right now pal, you're in the wrong place if you've got a gripe about royalties and plagiarism. Great track- whether new or old version- let's keep it at that.

Sorry, Not Tony and don't speak for him, but been composing and writing electronic music myself long enough to know when blatant plagiarism has taken place to the point it completely disrespects the original writer and producer of music...I Have NOT seen the EP cover and if Nicolas Chaix has given proper credit where due on the sleeve and paid his licensing fees to Tony (who I hope owns the rights to his own tunes rather than CBS) then my apologies to I:cube. If not, he can fuck off...

ICuBE-HNT...stupid..with soul brother blaxploitation vocals over the track...I Cube is a sample ripping off fucking plagiarist ass who ruined a beautiful song by Tony Mansfield...I am extremely suprised he doesn't get his ass sued off by Tony and CBS...save for the fact that neither would get any money since nobody buys enough Icube to make it worth Tony;s while to sue.....I:Cubes remix is an insult to the memory of NEW MUSIK and the great work of Tony Mansfield

There is NO Way I:Cube could ever improve upon this....change it, yes, modernize it (for the sake of the dance floor, sure) but to say it 'gives the track a new power' insults the creative context and time that this was written...1982...think about it....It doesn't need remixing...this music is perfect as is...Although Icube paying homage to it by remixing it is certainly a nod of respect to the worthiness of just how damned far ahead Tony Mansfield was from the 'rest of the pack'...

@seanus4508 yeah totally. but i think the changes they make give the track a totally new power, and to new ears, it really is one of the best gems out there. you can now find it if you type in 'the story of eros and psyche' on soundcloud- about 10 mins in. (My track comes just before it)
