On the back of this LP it says Mott the Hoople was the first rock band ever to play on Broadway! Not so 'cause Queen was the warm up band that night. so that makes Queen the 1st rock band on Broadway. I still have my ticket stubs. Does this make me an old fart?

this is true live recording...no studio retouch ups here...real deal stuff, live, angry and a lil sloppy...mott the hoople were a great rock N roll band. sadly this era is long gone, thankfully we have all the records to remind us of a better time in music history. \m/ \m/

This and 'Born Late 58" were the two best songs at the Broadway shows.

first band to headline on Broadway. Queen opened for them, so they got credited for first band to appear on Broadway. also love Jerusalem as the lights go up.

MTH live was the MOST inspiring experience for me as a kid. This time was around the time they toured with Queen. I got to see them at The URIS Theatre on broadway in NYC! . Queen opened the show! I am going to start playing this number again! Always loved it!

@DonnyDooley Donny, I have all of Stephenredrobe's Mott the Hoople videos in a separate folder already. But it was a great suggestion and I appreciate the thought.

Well I loved it! It would be wonderful if someone could find a video of Mott doing this in their Ariel Bender incarnation--which this is--but if nothing else this one will at least sate our appetite for the moment. This may be the finest Mott the Hoople cut of all because it just strips out the studio polish and leaves us with nothing but barebones rock and roll. Thanks Theoprive1.
