This sounds so fucking good. I never realized the lack of bass on the original album (never turned the bass boost or noise reduction off on my walkman back then, so I probably don't know how most albums "really" sound), or how smoking Jason's playing was... but in retrospect... Yeah, the bass should have been more present in the mix and James should have gone for a less tinny tone. Still like Lars' drum sound on the album, though. It's a testament to the strength of the songs that this album became so legendary despite being a little sonically weak. This mix sounds more like I remember them sounding like live back then.9 years ago
