Album: Load

Lyrics:

I'm diggin' my way

I'm diggin' my way to somethin'

I'm diggin' my way to somethin' better

I'm pushin' to stay

I'm pushin' to stay with something

I'm pushin' to stay with something better

I'm sowin' the seeds

I'm sowin' the seeds I've taken

I'm sowin' the seeds I take for granted

This thorn in my side

This thorn in my side is from the tree

This thorn in my side is from the tree I've planted

It tears me and I bleed

And I feel

Caught under the wheels roll

I take the leech

I'm bleeding me

Can't stop to save my soul

I take the leash that's leading me

I'm bleeding me

Ooh, I can't take it

Caught under wheels roll

Oh, the bleeding of me

Of me

The bleeding of me

Caught under wheels roll

I take the leech

I'm bleeding me

Can't stop to save my soul

I take the leash that's leading me

I'm bleeding me

Ooh, I can't take it

Caught under wheels roll

Oh, the bleeding of me

Oh, the bleeding of me

I am the beast that feeds the beast

I am the blood

I am release

Come make me pure

Bleed me a cure

I'm caught, I'm caught, I'm caught under

Caught under wheels roll

I take that leech

I'm bleeding me

Can't stop to save my soul

I take the leash that's leading me

I'm bleeding me

Oh, I can't take it

I can't take it

I can't take it

Oh, the bleeding of me

I'm diggin' my way

I'm diggin' my way to somethin'

I'm diggin' my way to something better

I'm pushin' to stay

I'm pushin' to stay with somethin'

I'm pushin' to stay with something better

With something better

one of the few songs after ...and justice for all that is actually a decent tune.

There are those that disagree but that is fine. But to me, this is an amazing album. Every song is packed tight with message and lyrics. Really shows the bands ability. And Bleeding Me is probably one of my favorite 3 Metallica songs. Seriously a sick jam. But this entire album is. I mean, Outlaw Torn? Sick!

Love this song! I was reading the "Dark Tower" series by Stephen King when I was listening to Load and Reload. Always imagined this song playing for the trailer when they make those books into movies. Think it fits perfectly.

...and to think, Justice For All was my introduction to them. After "Enter Sandman" and the rest of the black album my friends and i thought they had hit their high point and wouldn't be able to do better. We were wrong, Load showed us how wrong we were. Metallica had only just begun. What happened is that they were getting older, growing up, and their music did, too, so they brought us all along for the ride

Good to see so many comments supporting how amazing this album set was. Load and then ReLoad were (are) truly awesome. Anyone who can play can thrash, it takes true talent to branch away from the standard formula and try new things. This album is where they started to show their incredible talent so much more than the metal assault they were known for. Not bashing their earlier albums at all, each was better and better, but adding the blues, country and jazz influences just topped it all off. When it was first released, a lot of people hated it and didn't respect the skills it took to play this way, didn't appreciate the maturity it showed to change it up and add new styles. Many people heard it as failure and selling out. I knew it was a display of what they were capable of, showing that they really did have amazing talent and skills

from the bridge at 5:19.....through the hook....when James says "I take the leash that's leading MEEEE!!!!" with such torment and helplessness. shows insanely good production and performance.and the solos. damn. what a song.

If you took the best songs of Load and the best songs of Reload and merged them into a single record, it would probably be my favourite Metallica album. There are so many great individual tracks on each album, this one included. Too bad most of the other tracks are filler.

On the load cover, is that a hammer and sickle near the bottom left corner? I had never noticed it before if that is the case.

The remastered version lacks a certain charm, the old one just resounded with epicness
