We lost 6 family members this year. It's only by God's grace and love that we are able to carry on. We KNOW the lyrics to this very old classic song are still true today. We WILL see our loved ones again some day....so for Grandma Mary, Gram Issy, Aunt Eva, Aunt Laurel, dear friend and mother in law Jessie, and my daddy....we love you, the void you've left in our hearts is painful...but we know your REAL LIFE has just begun....May God keep you in his arms.

In my mind eyeI can see a young soldierWith a Familyfriends and loved onespraying for his safetyPrays of tears, fall tenderly on our Saviour's Heartas he holds us so very close In time as theseWhen Our depth pains are at their greatest and Our Tender hearts can hold no MoreHe gently comes and opens our soul and comforts the fall tearsTo show us We are not aloneHis tears fell for USC.E. Thank you so much for showing the lyrics to this magnificent piece! The lyrics are as hauntingly beautiful as the melody.

Mine, too, Antoinette; mine, too. This is the LOVELIEST song I have ever heard and the LOVELIEST version of it, also! Libera is so magical in this rendition of this most beloved tune that says so much in so many ways.

Thanks for the tip, Brian! I will have to look again and find it since I am really curious to hear what the song sounded like in the movie. But of all the versions that I have heard, NONE of them can come close to Libera's beloved version in my opinion. It IS the most LOVELIEST song that I have ever heard! (I wonder what year it was recorded by the gifted young boys with their magical voices.)

Thanks for your comments. You heard this LOVELY song in a movie called "The Snake Pit"? Seems NOT the type of song for a movie with a title like that. Anyhow, this has to be the LOVELIEST song that I have ever heard! Just so angelic in so many ways. I can easily understand why so many want this song played at their final rites and I want to be one of those people. And yes, I still get teary-eyed at times when I hear this memorable tune by gifted young singers. Best wishes to you!

Brian, I could not agree with you more!! This is the LOVELIEST version of this song that I have ever heard and I want it played at my vigil service when I leave this world someday.

Yes, printing the lyrics really does help as the only "flaw" in this LOVELY version is that you cannot always understand every word in the song.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of your best friend, Must not have been a dry eye at the service when this VERY touching song was played. For decades, I have been looking for a final song to play at my vigil service.....and I have FINALLY found it with Libera's angelic version of this most gorgeous song! NO ONE sings it better than these young boys!
