How could any person, or thing, on the face of the earth give this a thumb's down? Do they feel it's unfair to others to sing this beautifully?

I can see why there is a desire to sing this one of the most beautiful melodies of all time. However, I find this arrangement less divine, I am not being open minded about this piece in particular and prefer it in symphonic original scoring, just like Dvorjak has intended himself. And so you know, this melody is original, means it came out of the head of the composer, not borrowed anywhere like some other known classical pieces. This is no one's spiritual hymn, not a folk melody either. This melody is too complicated for a folk music, people. Folk melodies don't have such class in them as this one. This melody is too professional by any means.Just cause you heard some familiar rhythmic lace does not mean this is less original. And yes, my statement is 100% professional as well, so no need to argue with me. I don't argue with non-professionals in music meaning you should spend 16 years studying classical music in order to argue with me. Enjoy the music if you please.

Prefer the depth of Paul Robeson and the soprano of Jan CLayton in the poignant "The Snake Pit".

Ok i need help here. I've heard the first chord progression in this song (from 00:01 to 00:13 approx) in some movie. If anyone knows the song i'm talking about could you leave it as a reply to this? The first few chords are the same in that song and this until around 13 seconds. In this song it seems to turn major whereas in the other it stays minor. PLS HELP.

Truly the greatest voice I have ever heard in my 85 years. So natural and so seemingly effortless for her. This is a God given gift!!!
