Laura Branigan's voice is far more original than Celine Dion. Its not about how high you can sing, but what you do with your interpretation. Laura had more feeling. Its like when Whitney Houston tried to cover 'I always love you". Dolly sounded more authentic. Laura Branigan also has such richness in her voice. Celine Dion is quite nasal, actually.

Your kidding right? I hope so. Laura's voice is WAY more powerful than Celine's. Granted Celine gets the popularity vote, but when it comes down to it voice wise, especially with this song, Laura blows Celine away. Laura Branigan was severely under-rated. Unfortunately her production didn't change with the times and she fell to the way side to up coming stars, such as Celine. This is clearer in the song Unison, also done by both artists. Celine's production is better on that song.
