I love how so many idiots cannot see the comparison is unfair. Laura is not singing live and Céline is. Also, add a live video of Céline in 1994 or 1995 when it was a hit for her and you'll see how much better she was. Celine is aging and her voice is not as powerful and all singer goes through this. As if every singers should be made of the same mold. There is not problem to prefer one over the other, but to insult any of them is so cheap. There are too many great voices to say one is better than the other. I don't believe in that crap and I can appreciate tons of artists. Also, to the people that asked why Laura Branigan did not have more success, it's because there was better with Whitney Houston starting in the middle of the 80s. Sorry, but Whitney was out of this world and Laura was not. hearhisvoice.... you are an idiot for creating such a piece of crap!

Laura's is powerful - but she absolutely shreds her voice on her version. By the end you can easily imagine that she's just spitting out bits of blood and vocal chord all over the floor. That's not really what you should do to your voice.

This video really annoys me. Celine Dion murdered this song. Laura Branigan did a beautiful cover. However, the original by Jennifer Rush (and co-written by Jennifer) is the better of the lot. Yet so many people do not realise about the 1985 Jennifer Rush original
