Kris at the Ralph Emery Show Jan 2010
(Thank you, T. :-))
This song is so nasty and mean and sooo cute...
It's the "hidden track" on his amazing latest album "Closer to the bone"

Kris had been so upset by all these sad Hank Williams songs... so he probably just had to write some nasty song to feel a little happier ;-)
Playing this song in the show he reminded me of this scene in "Blume in love" when they all were sitting or better lying on that sofa singing about Chester the goat...
... and lots of Kris' s moves are still the same as I noticed in Cisco Pike... Some things never change...
Question to Kris, "You used to run with Willie?" Kris, "Yes, when Willie and I used to run." lol
I hate your ugly face
You've heard a lot of singers moaning of the love they've lost
They're always true to their long-lost dear no matter what the cost.
I want you to hear I ain't crying in my beer, this is how it goes with me:
the happiest day of my unhappy life was when you set me free...
I hate your ugly face, I see it every place
It follows me wherever I try to go
Your skin is tan like leather
It looks just like a heifer,
so I hate you, dear, and I think you ought to know.
Now most heart-broken lovers
waste their sweet hearts happiness
I just hope you're miserable,
you sorry-looking mess.
I want you to hear I ain't crying in my beer
this is how it goes with me:
the happiest day of my unhappy life was
when you set me free...
