This is the famous KC "Double Trio" line up. Robert Fripp, Adrian Belew, Pat Mastelotto, Bill Bruford, Tony Levin and Trey Gunn. Per jazzshelf: "Mastelotto could provide Fripp with the “rocking drummer” he desired, leaving Bruford free to terrorize the rhythms as he wished. Gunn could find a middle ground between Levin’s low end and the Belew-Fripp guitars. It didn't always work out so simply, but the expanded Crimson had plenty of arrangement options, to say the least."

Un-Metal, ma mica tanto.. i King Crimson quando spingono spingono. Questo è tratto dal dvd VROOOM live (un dvd del 1998 doppia faccia con audio multicanale e stereo pcm, più multiangolo, una roba pionieristica per l'epoca, io l'ho preso nel 2001 appena avuto il mio primo lettore sul pc). A quell'epoca c'era il double trio. Ovvero batterie Pat Mastellotto e Bill fucking Bruford (!), al basso/chapman stick Trey Gunn e Tony fucking Levin (!!), e alle chitarre Adrian Belew e ovviamente Robert fucking Fripp (!!!), un momento magico per loro IMHO. Questo pezzo consta di una intro, una fine e un pezzo in mezzo che è sempre improvvisato. Io ho un disco live composto da varie versioni solo di questo brano fatte in giro per il mondo, è una delle cose più dure da digerire tutta d'un fiato.
