Can you save me from myself again

I'm drowning in this ocean

I'm sinking like a stone again

How long can I hold on

So somehow

I hear the waves come crashing

They'll just pull me down

To stay around

Together we can face it

I know we can turn the tide

Together we can change the way things are

Letting go is suicide

Give me back love love love

Can you take me to the end again

Paint a different picture

Message to me heaven-sent

Says that I'm forgiven

Closer now,

I feel the storm upon us

Falling through the clouds

Headed down

But together we can break it

I know we can turn the tide

Together we can change the way things are

Letting go is suicide

Give me back the love love love

Never say never

I never kissed

My luck could've changed

Could've changed

Trust me now

I feel the winds are changing

I know we can turn the tide

Together we can change the way things are

Better take a look inside

All we need is love love love

All we need is love love love

I know we can turn the tide

yeah...

we need love love love

we need love love love

love love love

we need love love love

Can you save me.

Tall Stories is a surprisingly good follow up to Turn Back the Clock. Even the cover art is beautiful. Phil Thornalley and Calvin Hayes' car accident certainly prevented them from promoting the second album, which fell into obscurity, effectively ending the band's run, but it should be regarded as a successful failure. Phil, according to Wikipedia, regards Tall Stories as a "mistake," but its songs are just as catchy as those of the first album.

@vaadaenmacchi Thanks a ton! I was born in the US but moved to India for about 14 years or so and interestingly enough, that is where my musical tastes were formed. My friends here in the US find that really odd!!!

@vaadaenmacchi that's right...I am of Indian origin! Hope you enjoyed the JHJ interview! My accent in the interview probably makes it even more obvious than my name that I am Indian....

@vaadaenmacchi Clark Datchler is back. I interviewed Clark and Mike over the summer for a radio station that I manage. I can send you a link to the interview if you'd like. I've heard some snippets of the new songs and they're BRILLIANT!

@ReggieSears The recently reformed Johnny Hates Jazz recently did some recording for their new album in Phil Thornalley's studio. "Turn the tide" is one certifiably awesome track. It is a shame it didn't fare better on the charts.
