I worked at a wax museum in Dallas and my workplace was in the pathetic "circus" area. I heard this damn song on continuous loop 7 hours a day for 4 years.

Wonderfully played. Ive gotten so used to computers taking over and doing everything that some days I forget that there are people out there skillfully excellent on their instruments. I was a trumpet back in the day...LOL

My top band in high school played this song and i recently overheard my university's band playing it and I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. Had to ask numerous people who were in that band and found out. Sounds soooo badass, menacing, and huge.

This was a circus march...supposed to be ungodly fast and hard, Vitaly....

who cares if it sounds badass.

Like all Frederick Fennell pieces, it's played too fast and staccato. If you can find anyone from Richardson High School band from 1966, get their recording.

This was not fun as the only oboist freshman year of high school. Much more fun playing it on euphonium years later.
