Written by Luther Dixon and Al Smith in 1960; released by Jimmy Reed in 1961. Great blues performance, and a big influence on early The Rolling Stones.

Big memories from Houston in the 1960's. Jimmy Reed was the shitz man, I mean the mixture of soul, blues and zydeco and so much more. This was even big with Tejano audiences.

When I was a teenager I used to listen to delta blues on WLAC in Nashville, TN, and loved Jimmy Reed, John Lee Hooker, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday and many more. The DJ.s name was Gatemouth and Some of the shows were broadcast from Randy's Record Shop in Gallatin,TN. Talk about good memories. WOW!

9-25-2016. I taught myself to play the drums at the age of 13. I am now 72. I remember keeping this hard rolling beat to this song. I later became a studio drummer in nashville at excello recording studios on 3rd Ave north. remember Stay (just a little longer)? It D was a feature song in the movie Dirty Dancing. Guess who was the drummer on that song? Recorded in 1958 in nashville at excellent studios. just a little bit of music door would for you.

I saw Jimmy once and he was playing an Old Craftman  guitar,  and had a harmonica around his neck.  His wife played drums (not fancy,  but a good solid beat)...and that was the entire band.
