steve's voice always sounded better dry, effects on a voice like his only get in the way, a re-mix is order for this one.

Greg Ridley plays bass. (Jerry) Shirley played drums.

Sadly much under-appreciated because the 'public' are mostly morons who - not surprisingly perhaps - like moron music like the rubbish that usually sells (Beatles, Abba, Take That, & many disgusting twat creations like GaGa and other truly unimportant divots singing the fully meaningless). That untalented twats release ''songs'' is not the problem, that untalented, uneducated twats consider crap to be valid IS a problem. It leads to a s**t emphasis only on what most idiots consider relevant.

Im assuming you mean bass drum? (Shirley was the drummer) I agree, his bass drum was awesome! These guys shoulda have been more appreciated.

Here is a comprehensive list of their gigs. There are a few "arena" shows amongst the theaters, but they tend to be smaller (8-10k), rather than 20-30k arenas. home dot comcast.net/~gv0000/Humble_Pie_Tour_Archive dot html

Other than festivals or possibly as a supporting act HP was never an arena draw in the US. Theaters was as big as they got, including of course the Fillmore's, the Capitol in Passaic NJ, etc. A kick ass band.

@ wildnites558 - I always understood the Pie were MUCH bigger in the States than the UK - they never became an arena band here, just theatres and city halls, whereas in the States they regularly played to 20 or 30,000, and travelled in a Lear Jet ! Also @ HumblePie76, Jerry Shirley was the drummer mate ! I strongly urge everyone to buy his book "The Best Seat In The House" about his days in Humble Pie and beyond. I think the bass is Greg Ridley, but MIGHT be Boz Burrell.
