From what i hear Marriott was a candidate for Led Zep. I also hear that Plant based his vocal style off of Marriott. Also, Keith Richards asked Marriott to take over Brains position but Jagger was not having it. He was jealous because Marriott was outclassing him as a front man all day.. Marriott is a rock legend that no one knows about and thats sad. He is easily in the top 3 greatest rock singers of all time.

He reminds me of Bon Scot. I saw the Pie way back in Chattanooga Tenn. Didn't know anything about them at the time. Too young. All I remember from their show was 30 Days in The Hole. They were the opening act for someone. I remember them tho.
