lets see if i got this straight... the original group was called, The 4 Falcons in 1952 i believe, with hank, jackie wilson an mr. stubbs, They went on to create teh group, The Royals Who went on to create the Midnighters...

Man, this is the real street shit and Hank Ballard was one bad dude. Could sing and move like Ali too.. Love this song and even though a street corner defender(SPORTS) of the old school (Detroit Visitation), Zilla would strut a bit when Hank was bringing this down on you all. Never made a bad record. They were all bad if you get my meaning.

it's something I was thinking about.when I bought this record I was about 14 and I was happy to find it a year after it;s release.the point is I never thought about the color or location of the people who made the music.my mother hated Roy Orbison because he sounded too country to her.I just bought the 45's because I loved the music.The labels were works of art.it was magic.I love music as the universal language.I never even knew or thought about where it came from.so different now.
