I was 8 years old when this song became popular in the Philippines and that was 1950. I really love this song especially that it mentions my homes state of Minnesota. If you're in Arizona, I'll follow you. If you're in MINNESOTA I'll be there too.

I remember buying this 78 for $.89. Quite a bit in 1950 but worth it. I believe the b side was The Roving Kind. I loved both those songs and still do. I was 7 at the time. Thanks for posting it.

When we complained my old teacher would sing "this is the worlds smallest violin playing a song for you, my heart cries for you sighs for you, dies for you." Good memories!

Just love these old songs. My dad would play a record of various artists, like Guy Mitchel, Vic Damone, etc., and quiz me on who the singer was. Brings back many beautiful memories of me & my dad. He's been gone now for 27 yrs and I still cry a little when I hear these songs. Thank you for uploading....ooops, I just dropped a tear.

Mom and I visited her brother in St. Paul when this was popular. He'd quaff a few brew at night, and stand on the foot of his bed and sing this song to the rafters. A favorite memory. Still one of my favorite songs!!!
