Guy Lombardo & His Royal Canadians, Voc. Carmen Lombardo - Where The Shy Little Violets Grow, Columbia 1928

NOTE: In the slideshow are paintings of the French impressionist, Claude Monet.

Gaetano Alberto "Guy" LOMBARDO (born 1902 in London, Ontario; died 1977) was a Canadian then American bandleader and violinist. Forming The Royal Canadians in 1924 with his brothers Carmen, Lebert, and Victor and other musicians from his hometown, Lombardo led the group to international success, billing themselves as creating "The Sweetest Music This Side of Heaven." The Lombardos are believed to have sold between 100 and 300 million phonograph records during their lifetimes.

Splendid music! I only knew Lombardo by references but I can see how talented he was! In the other hand Monet is one of the greatest! What a combination!
