Eww no this is not Tool. It definitely has a Skillet vibe. I've come across 4 different sounding bands and everyone keeps calling them Tool wannabes. Really because Tool owns 4 different distinct sounds? Please.

Star, head, toe, blood, perspiration, tears: these are the only concrete nouns in the entire song. While "mourning star" is an interesting conceit (and a play on words to "morning star"), lyrically this song is a vapid failure.

I have a pretty sweet story about how I heard this band. So me, a friend, his step-dad, his his step-dad's cousin went to Rock on the Range in 2013. We arrived at our hotel and were checking in and we just see this dude COVERED in tattoos from the face down. We were like I bet he is going to ROTR. After we get to our room we chill outside and see this dude with white hair and beard smoking outside his room about 10 rooms left of ours. My group talked saying Damn that guy is kinda creepy and weird.....after awhile one of us yells "hey" to him and he walks towards us. "you goin to rock on the range?" the dude says "yeah im in it" "Oh really? what band?"  "Gemini Syndrome." and we had drinks with him (Aaron Nordstrom if you hadn't figured it out). He was playing on one of the smaller stages so we got to that stage early and were right in front of the stage. We watched a band called Scorpion Child play....I didnt think too much of them (not my type of rock/metal). Gemini Syndrome was next and Aaron doesnt have a really deep voice. We were blown away when one of the first things he did was Growl. HOLY SHIT. The guy that was all tattooed up ended up being the bassist. When they played the entire area filled with people and some jumping.....there was a small mosh pit i think....it was awesome. My friend got one of the guitar picks that were thrown and gave it to me...i still have it. After the show at the hotel room we met Aaron's brother and his fiance. Got a pic with him as well. I bought the deluxe edition of Lux after that :)
