PTSD is no joke, our vets deserve better than what they're getting.

Think if you were homeless and capable of serving and getting off the streets most would, a majority are dishonorable if ever branch rejects this person to re-enlist they did something awful to deserve it. Im not in support of homeless vets but 95% of the vets this video describes were shit bags that didn't serve in any way and got what they deserve. Its not homeless vets its homeless people who agreed to serve and made the military look like fools till they finally got kicked out. I talked several homeless vets that were bragging about going awol for several years the army found them twice and offered them another chance and they went awol again and were bragging that they have been homeless and the army couldn't find them for 20 years. They did it to themselves honestly and are not soldiers or anything worthy of military respects.

As sad as it is, how many of the homeless vets were dishonorably discharged. Its obivous when your fired from any job it leads to bad places. Regardless any benefit you had from serving dissappears when you receive a dishonorable. There are programs for honorably discharged homeless.when you can't do your job in the military and are dishonorable(basically fired) you never really served.

I was in the Navy and a lot of my Army buddies wish they would've died overseas because they gave everything for nothing.

I found this video while listening to Brantley Gilbert. I had heard of Five Finger Death Punch before in a show I watch on TV, American Pickers but I had never listened to the music before. This song just moved me to tears, mostly because of the video I think. There are veterans that will suffer in pain, in more ways than one from injuries received during their service, until the day they take their last breath. And then there are those who DID take their last breath while serving, leaving families with a gap or a void in their hearts and lives. What does it matter to us? We don't have to feel it! It does matter! If it were you wouldn't it matter to you? It does to me! I have a family member who was wounded on the artillery front lines the first time he ever went into active duty! He was retired from the military because of this injury and leads a normal life today. But THIS is one of the lucky stories. Yes he still suffers from pain and I am sure he has problems with PTSD to a certain extent but he was able to lead a life that kept him off the streets and he has a beautiful family that makes him proud every single day! On the other hand, I know people who fight with PTSD every single day! They fight very hard to keep it from ripping their families apart and destroying any happiness they may still have. It is a moment to moment struggle for so many. Some people think it is day to day but it isn't! This is a very serious illness that we thrust upon these young men and women that have chosen to serve their country to keep us FREE! Yes they signed up to serve but they didn't sign up to be abused and in many many cases that is what happens in the long run! The care they receive should be exemplary, not below average to non-existent! As Americans we should be ashamed of ourselves when we say we are proud to be just that, when we know we do nothing to help our fellow service men and women! It is OUR job to surround them with whatever it is they need after their service to US is done! We should fall at their feet much as the woman who washed Jesus' feet, for they have performed miracles much the same and all they ask in return is acknowledgement and help when needed. No I am not making a comparison to service men and women to Jesus that is not what that statement was about! But it was the strongest statement I could think of to show how humble I think we should be concerning our service men and women. I LOVE my LORD and I know many other people do as well and we need to show these veterans we LOVE and GOD loves them TOO! Yes we might want to turn away from that "weird" person sleeping on the street or that dirty person asking for money or holding a sign that says please help. It is human nature to be afraid, but it will never change until we learn that if we truly believe in the LORD he will protect us when he leads us to "help" someone on the street. Because if you listen to your heart the LORD will let you know when and where you are supposed to act and when you hear that voice or have that feeling, it is normally the reassurance that it is your time to boldly go where no one else was willing to go! I pray that GOD truly blesses this song if none other and uses it to gather people until his mission of helping those who need it most, the ones he called to serve others selflessly through our branches of military!
