This recording was made during one of the many appearances on the BBC. These were recorded live with a studio audience. I restored and remastered it for optimum sound quality. I used images of volcanoes and ELO of course to make this video. You can figure out the connection between the images and this incredible instrumental. Hope you enjoy it! Very cool song that really rocks out considering its classically based. They were one of the greatest at mixing Classical, Rock, and Pop with numerous radio friendly songs.I still favor the Progressive genre more ( Early Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd,King Crimson, some Rush,ELP, Camel,VDGG,Soft Machine, Gentle Giant,Etc. ), but this is quite good.12 years ago

I'm an out of shape, old fart now, but back in 1990 I weighed 128 pounds, could run a 1/2 marathon in 6:30 miles, could crack raw eggs on my theigh muscles, (could spell better, too!), and I downed three giant esspressos, and ran the 1990 Bay to Breakers and came in 596th out of 120,000 runners. The rush of being in shape and all that caffine, always reminds me of this song. It's a sustained rush I hear. Power. Excitement. Life straining at the leash. Thanks Jeff!!!!13 years ago
