On and on this is my way

I've made up my mind

But will I find what I search for

Soon I will reach the western shore

Far behind in the distance

Lie the fires of doom

There's a voice deep inside me

"The tower knows who you are"

The road goes on and on

Tomorrow I'll be gone

The road goes on and on

Tomorrow I'll be gone

I hear him say "We seize the day"

Too many roads we've travelled on

We seize the day

Now there's one thing left to lose

We seize the day

Until the end we'll carry on

we seize the day

Now there's one thing left to lose

We seize the day

All along this is my way

I've better move on

Pure in heart and fair-minded

For strength and truth I keep on

Keep the one that is passed on

And leave the others behind

All alone and without me

I hear him say"We seize the day"

So stay with me we'll carry on

See the winding road goes on and on

This one is about LotR I believe. There are many DT references on there, but this is LotR, as is Lunar Lament.

While this song may not actually be about the Dark Tower series...there's a lot of parallels. And either way this song is amazing.

I bore witness on Roland's honor. Even if I failed him on all else... "Punk!"

Well... art can be open for an individuals interpretation... but you can't really change subject matter, only look to meanings behind it. You can look to symbolism in the art to find meanings for yourself within the context of the subject matter. The band has stated what the subject matter is... LotR Saying it isn't is like saying the painting "The Last Supper" was about a bachelor party or some such thing.

Clint Eastwood would be one hell of a Roland in a movie series...

I know but it can also be for the dark tower. it wasn't originally about it.

Did you make a grammar mistake? I don't think I follow your meaning. The three songs that Hansi Kürsch and Jon Schaffer said was based on the Dark tower was: Crimson King, Terror Train, and The Gunslinger. There are only 2 songs not based on a book, Down Where I Am and Love's Tragedy Asunder ... and 2 songs based on Tolken's works. Lunar Lament is Tolken based as well.

The band members have said this song is not about the Dark Tower book.

Seeing as how the band members have stated that this song is not related to the Dark Tower books... There were only three songs on the album based on the book... This was not one of them. I am going with it being LOtR based.

No, it´s definitly about "The Dark Tower" from Steven King, surely the best he has written until now. The song is about the gunslinger Roland Deschain and his Ka-Tet. Long live Hansi Kürsch for this amazing song! \m/
